Your Temple is run by volunteers. Referring to volunteers, the great sage poet Auvaiyar said “there is no word to mention the greatness of volunteers”. Our temple has in the past depended on dedicated volunteers. While saluting them for their services and time spent, we would indeed greatly appreciate having more join the team. We certainly have room for yourself and many more. We would appreciate if you would consider joining the team, for least a few hours per month. By volunteering your time and effort you can make a difference in the temple.
Also Volunteering helps meet people and make new friends; it helps the temple increase and improves the services offered by the temple; and brings a feeling of satisfaction and inner peace in the individual. We strongly urge you to sign up for any volunteer activity and get your family members and friends involved. Students can apply the volunteer hours they spend at the temple towards any school volunteer requirements.
The following are the typical functions performed by the volunteers:
– Weekly cleaning of Temple premises
– Summer cleaning of Temple compound and lawn care
– Winter cleaning of Temple compound
– Watering and weeds clearing of Sivan Gardens
