The consort of Lord Siva, Goddess Thaiyal Nayaki, is enshrined in a beautiful altar to the left of Lord Siva. The vigraha (idol) is a finely crafted granite figure, radiating divine grace and beauty. Special festivals, such as Adipooram, are celebrated at this altar, with the main annual festival being Navarathiri, held in September or October each year.
