Sapparam is another special vehicle crafted for Sivan & Ambal, Pillaiyar and Murugan. On the front of Sapparam above the seats of God Sivan’s family Purana stories depicting the characteristics of God Sivan and Ambal are drawn in pictures in colors and displayed with lights focussed to all pictures.
Minimum Ten purana stories are generally displayed for devotees to remember the power of God Siva and Goddess Ambal. As for Mancham, Two ropes are extended from the Sapparam for men devotees and woman devotees to separately hold and pull the Sapparam around the outer court of the Temple. Sapparam stops at center points and corners of all Four sides of the court. By the time the Sapparam reach back the starting point in front of temple, devotees get a greater understanding of God Siva & Ambal, Pillaiyar and Murugan and their blessings.
