Theertham Thiruvila is conducted on the 10th day morning. It is a holy bath of Sivan and Ambal at the Temple Pool specially constructed for this purpose. After the Abishekams to Sivalingam and Ambal with Milk, Panchamirtham with honey, and other ingredients Alangaram is performed to Sivalingam & Ambal. Then Sivan & Ambal come around in procession through inner court and seated on Nanthi Vahanam and taken by devotees to the Temple Pool at the outer court of Temple. Priest take the Thirisoolam from Lord Siva to the pool representing Sivan & Ambal, and perform Abishekam with milk, panchamirtham & honey, fruit juice, young coconut water and other ingredients. After the abishekam and katpoora aalaathi theertham (holy water) from the pool is taken to Sivan & Ambal and sprinkled by Priest. Then, the devotees spingkle theerthem (holy water) to devotees. When devotees finish spraying holy water, Archanas from Devotees are performed by Priest by offering Fruit plates. When the Archana Poojas performance is over Lord Sivan & Ambal are taken in procession through the outer court with Thevara Bhajans & Nathadaswaram & Melam music to Temple Vasantha Mandapam. Vegetarian Lunch is cooked in Temple served to all devotees. Also cultural programs by children are staged for devotees to relish.
