Timeline

2019

Pre-Design and planning Site Plan Package

2020

Architect P2 Concept on Board with us. Developed our plans to locate a new temple in the back. During the design development process with the P2 Concept, the need for Stapathy and his input was realized.

2021

The new Sthapathy selection process started. We have hired Selvanatha & Ponni Stapathis from Sri Vaidyanatha Sthapathi Associates on board with us. A newly modified temple plan (Raja Kopuram and entrance hallways were rearranged.

2022

P2 Concept was given a new mandate to revise the plan. However, during the process City od Ottawa sent out a new floodplain development for North Gower. The new food plain line appeared to be closer to the new temple and it made us believe the new temple in the back would not be a reality anymore. New surveyor work was initiated to review the impact on the new flood plain. It is still in the process. However, early indication is that the impact is minimal, if not for no change

2022

City Pre-Consultation meeting took place and confirmed the new temple construction located in the back of the existing temple was accepted by the city.

2023

Temple orientation to the true east was recommended and a new site plan was prepared by Sthapathy. Plans were reviewed by P2 Architect for local building code requirements.

Nov 2023

The site plan was tailored for engineering design, related to septic and stormwater management.

Feb 2024

Modifications to the plan due to a setback in the new temple location. New Addition of a Temp Temple building.
