Join the Ottawa Sivan Temple Youth Team!
The Ottawa Sivan Temple warmly invites youths to join its vibrant youth team and contribute to the Temple’s activities throughout the year. Youth volunteers play a vital role in assisting with major poojas, maintaining the Temple Garden during the summer, supporting annual festivals, and enhancing the Temple’s media presence.
We are specifically seeking support for:
- Create engaging social media posts and reels for major poojas
- Maintain and update the Temple website
- Enhance event posts and design flyers as needed
Strengthening our media presence will significantly benefit the Temple’s operations, including the new temple project.
Additionally, the Temple organizes workshops for youth on valuable topics such as money management, career planning, app development, Saivism, and photography.
Each year, the Temple also participates in the Canada Summer Jobs program, offering students opportunities to work with us through the support of Employment and Social Development Canada. Familiarity with the Sivan Temple and cultural activities is an asset for these positions.
As part of their involvement, youth volunteers organize an Abhisheka Pooja every September to mark the beginning of the school year.
